My series of murder mysteries is set in the dramatic scenery of northern New Mexico. The protagonist is Dr. Candrew Nor, a geology professor at the (fictitious) University of Northern New Mexico. Geologists like to say that “the present is the key to the past”, so Candrew’s used to looking at the way things are right now and working out how they got that way through time.

Which is exactly what he has to do when faced with a murder — look at the present-day crime scene clues and try to figure out everything that happened in the past that led up to murder.
